The work of TCBT is mostly done by making use of an extensive library of Bible teaching resources. Here is a brief description of how the library is used.
The work began as a resource for Bible teaching for people who do not live near a Bible-teaching church or have a consistent source of teaching. This includes people who live in small towns or rural areas, as well as missionaries and nationals who live in other countries.
Provide a library resource for pastor-teachers to help them in their efforts to meet the needs of everyone in their congregations. It is difficult to “feed” all the people just what they need all the time only by pulpit preaching, so a resource like this is often very helpful.
The TCBT library helps pastors train church workers and teachers, and can be used to train people in personal evangelism and disciple-making.
People who are in face-to-face classes may also use the library as a supplement or to refresh their memories on previous teaching. For example, a class in Ephesians may continue for many weeks or months, and a person may want to study Redemption, which may have been covered long ago when Chapter 1 was being taught. The TCBT library provides a quick lookup for more than 500 topics.
There are verse-by-verse studies of 63 books of the Bible, and a total of more than 120 college level courses, organized somewhat like Bible college semesters. There are many people in churches everywhere who would like to attend Bible college but find it too expensive, or otherwise are unable to attend. The TCBT library is an excellent source of studies; in fact it offers considerably more content than most Bible colleges.
In the years since 2012 indigenous pastors in Central Africa have used the TCBT library to train pastors and church leaders. As I write this (August 2026) there are 104 pastor training classes in Cameroon, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Ghana, Kenya, and other countries. Also, hundreds of pastors who have completed several Units of the TCBT curriculum are instructors in secondary schools in more than 70 districts of Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique, with more classes being opened almost weekly.
